Michel de Vaisseau Barr was leader of the French Expedition, 1950-1951, to the Antarctic. The expedition ship, Commandant Charcot, relieved the station at Port-Martin in Terre Adeli before making Hydrographic observations in the vicinity and a coastal reconnaissance westwards to longitude 138° East.
